Silver
Overlay or Silver Deposit Ware Glassware decorated with silver has been made for many years. Most of the
items listed here can be dated from the 1950s to the 1970s. Silver Decorated glassware is inspected very
carefully. Items listed here are in excellent condition, showing only minor wear, but they are not "mint." (We do not consider
this glassware to be in mint condition unless it is just like new and absolutely perfect. In order to call
this glassware mint there must be no wear on the silver, no scratches, no speckles, as well as no nicks or damage to the
glass.) |

Viking Janice Silver Overlay Two-Handled Crystal Tray This lovely clear glass tray
is decorated with silver overlay in the Flanders Poppy pattern and has a 25th Anniversary banner. The edge of the
dish is also trimmed with silver. (The handles are not silver trimmed.) The glass is New Martinsville/Viking's Janice
shape, and the silver overlay was most likely applied at Silver City Glass. The tray measures 11-1/2" across the top,
not including the handles in the measurement. This dish is in excellent condition. The silver is bright and shiny,
with only very light wear, and the original non-tarnish finish is intact. There are no chips or cracks in the glass.
This is a very heavy item! One available.....$22.00 |

Amber Glass Silver Overlay Bonbon Dish This little dish is
7-1/4" across. The dish is shaped like a plate with a slightly upturned edge. The edge has tiny scallops. It has three
tab feet, so it stands about 1-1/2" tall at the edge. The dish is decorated with the Flanders Poppy pattern. The edge
of the dish is also trimmed with silver. The glass was most likely made by Viking and the silver overlay was most
likely applied at Silver City Glass. Amber Flanders seems to be pretty hard to find. So far, I've only seen three
different shapes in this color. This dish is in very good condition. There are no chips or nicks in the glass. The
silver has some allover speckling, so it's not quite as smooth as it could be. One available.....$25.00
