Springtime Green Threaded Diamond Optic Bowl. This beautiful bowl is made of transparent green glass. The green is just a bit darker than
"depression glass green" but not as dark as avocado green. This pattern and color were made in 1977 and 1978. The bowl has a
ruffled edge and three feet. On the inside is the diamond optic pattern. On the outside is a fine threaded pattern that makes the
glass shimmer. The bowl measures about 6-1/2" across and is about 4-1/4" tall. It is signed Fenton in an oval. |

Silver Overlay or Silver Deposit Ware
Glassware decorated with silver has been made for many years. The
items shown here can be dated from the 1950s to the 1970s and were decorated by Silver City Glass or Rockwell Glass.
Silver City and Rockwell purchased undecorated "blank" glass from many manufacturers including Indiana, Viking, and others. |

Viking Glass
In 1944 the New Martinsville Glass Company changed its name to the Viking Glass
Company and continued to produce very nice quality glassware. Many New Martinsville molds were kept in use at Viking. The
company became Dalzell Viking about 1986, and ceased production in April 1998. |
