Restaurantware  (also known as hotel china or institutional ware) is a fun collectible. It was made to be durable, so is great to use. It comes in many designs, some of them very creative. It can be collected by the item (just cups or just plates for example), by the pattern, by the manufacturer, or even by color. Because of what it is, most restaurant dishes show moderate to heavy wear, but because of it's durability, it is rarely chipped or cracked.

More logo items, Casino Dishes, Ashtrays, and Smoking Collectibles are on the Casino page.

Restaurant china is heavy, but we will do our best to keep shipping costs as reasonable as possible.
Shipping several items in one box is usually more economical than shipping one at a time.
We will be happy to email postage quotes on one item or multiple items upon request.

Items are priced "each" unless noted otherwise. All inventory is listed online, so be sure to check back for updates.
(If it's not listed here, we don't have it).

Syracuse China
jpg image Syracuse China Yellow Spirals What a fun modern pattern! White restaurant china with mustard-yellow spirals. Four matching pieces available - one 6-1/4" bread plate and three 5-3/4" saucers with cup rings. There are three different backstamps, with date codes of 89, 91-C, and 4-NN, indicating 1959-1962. A few minor scratches and scuffs, but no chips or cracks...... $6.00 all four pieces (priced as a set)
jpg image Syracuse China Woodgrain Cup and Five Small Plates  These items are handpainted to look like woodgrain. (Two items are shown in the photo, but there are six items in this group.) There is one cup measuring about 2-7/8" tall. There are four small plates measuring about 6-1/2" across. There is one slightly larger plate measuring about 7-1/4" across. All pieces are backstamped "Syracuse China Econo-rim, Trade Mark Patented." The date code on the cup is 10-V (1941) and the date code on the larger plate is 3BB (1947). The cup is a little bit darker in color, but it still looks good with the plates. All six pieces have a few minor scratches and scuffs, but no chips or cracks. These dishes will weigh six to seven pounds when packed for safe shipping.....$22.50 cup and five plates (priced as a set)
jpg image Syracuse China Bell Cup White restaurant china with black and very light brown bands near the rim. On the front is a logo with the letters P and U and a bell in between. The cup is about 2-1/4" tall and about 3-3/4" across the top. The backstamp reads O.P. SYRACUSE CHINA 7-W, which I believe indicates a manufacturing date of 1942. This cup is in very good condition. There are no chips or cracks. There is some very light wear. One available.....$9.50

Syracuse China Trend Shape: Sisters of Charity of Providence
jpg imageThese interesting dishes are the Trend "rounded square" shape by Syracuse. They all have a curvy diamonds pattern in bright colors on heavy white restaurant china. They also have the logo for the Sisters of Charity of Providence.

All of these dishes have been used. (The date codes on the backs place their manufacture in the 1960's.) They have shallow surface scratches and minor wear. There are no chips or cracks.

Miscellaneous Restaurantware (In no particular order)
jpg image Del Webb'sTowneHouse small plate This fun plate measures about 7-1/4" across. It is white china with a burgundy topmark. The topmark includes a drawing of an old-fashioned antique car and says "DEL WEBB'S TowneHouse." The backstamp is "Wellsville China Co Made in U.S.A." This backstamp was used from 1959 until Wellsville China closed in 1969. The plate is in very good condition. It has light wear and scratches on the front, as is normal with restaurant china that has been used. It does not have any deep scratches, nicks, chips, or cracks. One available.....$8.00 **On Hold**
jpg image Hotel Xenia Demi Saucer This demitasse saucer is 4-1/2" across. It is made of white china with a brown topmark for Hotel Xenia. The backstamp reads Ionia Hellis. This demi saucer is in excellent condition. The logo is nice and clear, and the glaze is bright and shiny. One available....$3.00 **On Hold**
jpg image Royal Doulton Cup  This attractive cup is made of white china. It is not as heavy as most restaurantware, and is very nice quality. The pattern, named Red Marina, is a burgundy stripe containing beige and off-white leaves and scrolls. The backstamp reads  Royal Doulton Hotelware~ England ~ Steelite The backstamp dates from 1978-1983. This cup shows very light wear. One available....$2.00 **On Hold**
jpg image Wallace China Olympic Hotel Ashtray This restaurant-ware ashtray is signed on the back "Wallace China 3-P Los Angeles, Calif." (I believe that the 3-P indicates an April 1953 manufacture date.) The ashtray is made of heavy white restaurant china with the front logo in green. The logo in the center of the front is of a sailing ship with the words "Marine Room" above it and "Olympic Hotel" below. The ashtray has four cigarette rests, and there are three green seahorses between each cigarrette rest. Condition is very good, with no chips or cracks. There are no significant scratches, but the finish is very lightly scuffed all over which would happen with time. The light scuffs do not interfere with the logo or detract from the appearance.....$9.50
