Sandwich pattern glassware.The book is copyright 2004. Since Tiara Sandwich prices have been generally stable, the values listed
are still largely accurate. This book includes information that will be helpful to anyone who appreciates the Sandwich patterns
marketed by Tiara Exclusives, Indiana Glass, Anchor Hocking, and other glass companies. It will also be a useful reference for
antiques and collectibles dealers who carry glassware. (Tiara Sandwich glass is very collectible, but is often incorrectly labeled
Depression Glass. This book will help antique dealers research and correctly identify their Sandwich pattern items, so the requests
of Tiara collectors can be filled.)Along with values, the book has a short history of Tiara Exclusives and information on caring for Tiara glass. There is an informative section on Sandwich patterns made by other companies and similar glassware that can confuse collectors. Included in this section is information on Sandwich glass made by Anchor Hocking, Duncan & Miller, and Indiana Glass. In 1972, Indiana Glass Company made Sandwich Glass exclusively for Montgomery Ward. Indiana/Montgomery Ward Sandwich is often mistaken for Tiara glass. Photos and a list of Indiana/Montgomery Ward Sandwich items are included in this book. Other similar patterns shown in this book are Concord by Brockway, several Depression Era patterns, and new imported Sandwich-style glassware. More than 80 of the 150 pages in this book are in color! Every shape in the Tiara Exclusives Sandwich line is illustrated with black and white photographs. Also included are color photos of some items, and color reprints of Tiara Exclusives catalog pages, brochures, and sales literature.
